Founded in 2018, UUS plays a critical role in both the ongoing maintenance and the long-term modernization of the grid. UUS partners with utilities and communities across the US to harden their systems and meet growing power demand.
Why we invested
Sandbrook’s investment in UUS aligns to the accelerating need for ongoing maintenance, repair, and targeted hardening of the power grid as aging infrastructure undergoes increasing stress from rising climate volatility and growing load centers. Through this investment, Sandbrook is supporting the essential investment in the electrical grid by helping to build grid resilience and energy reliability across the US’ most climate vulnerable geographies.
